Chlorine is a yellow-green gas at room temperature and pressure. It is denser than air, soluble in water, easily compressed, and liquefied into a yellow-green oily liquid. It is a major product of the chlor-alkali industry and can be used as a strong oxidant. However, chlorine is also a highly toxic gas with a strong pungent odor. Therefore, a chlorine gas detector is required to monitor chlorine gas concentration wherever it is used or generated.

Chlorine gas is prone to leaks during production and use:
● Leaks due to corrosion in equipment, pipelines, fittings, and safety accessories used in chlorine gas production;
● Poisoning caused by leaks during chlorine filling and gasification;
● Accidents during chlorine gas storage and transportation.

During the production process, by installing gas detection and alarm devices produced by the CMC factory, the concentration of toxic and harmful gas leakage is constantly monitored to control the danger at the source.
Working Principle of Industrial Chlorine Leak Alarm Devices:
Chlorine leak → Detection by a fixed chlorine alarm sensor → Electrochemical reaction → Generation of an electrical signal indicating chlorine concentration → Signal amplification and processing module → Real-time display and upload of chlorine concentration to a monitoring system → Audible and visual alarms when exceeding the limit → Activation of exhaust, sprinkler, or safety control devices

Advantages of the CMC Chlorine Gas Alarm:
1. Real-time Continuous Monitoring
24-hour operation provides early warning of chlorine leaks, preventing accidents caused by gas accumulation.
2. High Sensitivity and Precision
Utilizing Honeywell electrochemical sensors, the system exhibits high sensitivity and selectivity for chlorine, accurately identifying low-concentration leaks.
3. Enhanced Safety
Once excessive chlorine concentrations are detected, an audible and visual alarm is immediately triggered, and exhaust and sprinkler systems can be activated to reduce exposure risks.
4. Fixed Installation with Stable Coverage
Suitable for long-term installation at key locations such as storage tank areas, production workshops, or pipeline interfaces, minimizing blind spot monitoring issues.
5. Easy Maintenance and Long Life
The sensor can be regularly calibrated or replaced, and the durable system design ensures long-term use and reduces maintenance costs.
6. Supports Linked Control
Can be integrated with gas alarm controllers, PLCs, DCS systems, and other systems for automated management and improved overall safety and protection levels.
7. Widely Applicable Environments
It can operate stably in common chlorine gas usage environments, such as chemical plants, water plants, sewage.

CMC chlorine gas alarms effectively protect personnel and are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, petroleum, petrochemicals, chemicals, shipbuilding, electric power, mining, and city gas, becoming essential protective equipment for industrial safety production. In the future, our CMC factory will continue to develop new products and strive to provide customers with a reliable, accurate, and safe gas detection solution.
