Maintenance of industrial explosion-proof combustible and toxic gas detector

1. If the detector has been stored below 0°C, leave it at room temperature for at least 2 hours before powering it on.

2. If the detector has not been used for a long time, power it on and allow it to warm up for 2 hours before normal operation.

3. During transportation, protect the detector from rain, moisture, strong vibration, and impact.

4. Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel. Do not mount the detector directly against a wall. Leave enough space around it for maintenance and troubleshooting. For gases lighter than air, install the detector 0.3 m below the ceiling. For gases heavier than air, install it 0.3 m above the floor.

5. The effective detection area depends on factors such as gas type, airflow direction, and wind speed. The recommended coverage is 6 × 6 m for open areas or 6 m along a pipeline.

6. In new buildings, install the detector only after painting and welding work has been completed.

7. Do not install the detector near steam or cooking fumes.

8. Do not immerse the detector in water or any other liquid.

9. Do not use strong-smelling substances such as insecticides, paint, or large amounts of alcohol near the detector, as they may cause false alarms.

10. Avoid exposing the sensor to frequent high concentrations of combustible gas, as this may shorten its service life or affect its performance.
