Install gas alarm detectors in the boiler room

To prevent gas leaks in the boiler room, the type and number of gas detectors should be selected based on the area of the boiler room and the type of gas equipment (such as natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas).

Our combustible gas monitoring system consists of multi-point detectors, a control host(control panel), and linkage devices. When the concentration exceeds the limit, a sound and light alarm will sound, and the gas valve will be shut off or the exhaust system will be activated.

Explosion-proof cables should be used to connect the detectors(alarms) to the control host to achieve continuous online monitoring and transmit concentration data to the control room.

Installation location and height of gas detector in the boiler room:
The fixed gas detector should be installed in the center of the boiler room, near gas equipment or pipe connection that may leak. It is recommended to install it within 3–5 meters horizontally of the gas equipment.
Industrial gas alarm should be installed about 1.5 meters above the ground (for gases lighter than air, such as natural gas). If monitoring gases heavier than air, such as liquefied petroleum gas, the installation height should be appropriately lowered to timely detect gas leak.

In addition to boiler rooms, gas detectors are also widely used in places with gas leakage risks, such as oil refining and chemical plant areas, natural gas stations and storage tank areas, sewage treatment and underground pipelines, mines and tunnels, cold storage rooms, battery charging rooms, paint booths, laboratory gas cylinder rooms, commercial kitchens and underground garages.
