What is a fixed combustible(flammable) gas detector?
A fixed combustible gas detector, also known as a gas leak detection alarm, is installed in a fixed location to continuously monitor the concentration of combustible gases 24 hours a day. Including methane (CH₄), natural gas (mainly CH₄), LPG (mainly C₃H₈), propane (C₃H₈), butane (C₄H₁₀), and hydrogen (H₂). When the gas concentration reaches a set value, it triggers a sound and light alarm and activates related equipment (exhaust ventilation, shut-off valves).

The importance of installing a combustible gas analyzer:
Combustible gases are colorless, making leaks in industrial and kitchens using natural gas difficult to detect. Leaks occur before reaching the lower explosive limit (LEL), which is already extremely dangerous. An explosion or fire can cause personal injury, equipment damage, and other consequences.

Installation locations for fixed gas sensors manufactured by CMC in China:
For gases lighter than air (e.g., methane): Install near the ceiling.
For gases heavier than air (e.g., LPG): Install 30–60cm above the ground.

Combustible gas detectors currently use catalytic combustion sensors with a range of 0-100% LEL. Two alarm values are factory-set: a first-level alarm value of 25% LEL and a second-level alarm value of 50% LEL.
