How to link a gas detector with an exhaust fan?

A fixed gas alarm system mainly consists of gas detectors and a gas alarm controller. It is used to continuously monitor the gas concentration in the air.
When the gas concentration reaches the preset alarm level, the system will give an audible and visual alarm and can also activate the exhaust fan to reduce the gas concentration in the area.

How to connect the exhaust fan?
1. If the gas alarm controller has a relay contact (switching output), it can be used to control the exhaust fan:
Gas Detector → Gas Alarm Controller → Relay Output → Exhaust Fan
2. If the controller provides a 24V DC output, a 24V relay can be added. The relay contacts are then used to control the exhaust fan.

Important notes:
1.Make sure the gas alarm controller has a relay/switching output.
2.If the exhaust fan has a high power rating, use a relay or AC contactor instead of connecting it directly.
3.In hazardous or explosive areas, use properly certified explosion-proof electrical equipment.
4.The installation location of the exhaust fan should be selected according to the gas characteristics and site ventilation conditions.
